Marching Band

Marching Band is a co-curricular, varsity level musical organization consisting of woodwinds, brass, percussion, and color guard. This program is one of pride, friendship, learning, positivity, diligence, and fun! We are one of the most visible aspects of the music department and enthusiastically support the athletic programs at WMCHS! Through the Marching Band, you will create memorable experiences that will last you a lifetime! We perform an energetic field show at all varsity football games and play upbeat popular music in the stands.

Registration opens in the spring, and closes on the first day of Band Camp.

A two-week long Band Camp takes place 2 weeks before the first day of school where we learn marching fundamentals, our show music, and bond through team building activities! Rehearsals during the school-year take place every Monday and Wednesday from 7pm-9pm and on select Fridays from September through November. See our website for more information: https://wmcmarchingband.wixsite.com/wmcmb

Anyone who plays an instrument or wants to be in color guard is welcome to participate regardless of ability, previous experience, or skill level. There is no audition or experience required!

Opportunities for student leadership include Section Leader, Color Guard Captain, and Drum Major.  A varsity letter in Marching Band can be earned after successfully completing two years in the group.
